But I was getting a big dizzy from all that spinning around wink.   Antiquorum has a few similar-looking examples in their database, one with nr. 239.  Apparently French-made and retailed by V&C.  That makes sense as neither serial numbers are standard V&C - 12997 for a watch movement would be ca.1815.

I recall with great fondness your previous clock post yes.

The alarm function works flawlessly, i will try to post a video when i get around. The bell is made of half bronze half silver to make the sound even more nicer.

I feel disappointed :-(

This clock is now on fleabay with "featured in TheHourLounge.com with Great Reviews" used in the ad copy to add legitimacy.  It is the second time this forum has been used very recently to support a sale.  Sadly, one of the pieces stolen from Doc is also listed with a great hulabaloo made about him and The Hour Lounge by the seller, whom FWIW I believe to have been ignorant of the fraud.

If someone was to be upfront and post an item saying they were intending to sell and it would help if forum members gave opinions to be used in the sale, would anyone respond?  Does anyone agree or disagree with my gut feeling that this is a breach of our accepted conduct?
