1972 Prestige de France UNIQUE PIECE

Dear Loungers,

I met a rare jewelry watch in a well-known Parisian retailer, these past days and would like to share with you some photos.

This dial is incredible with its Lapis-Lazuli color. Note that even the buckle has a Lapis-Lazuli insert.

Dimensions are about 21 mm X 46 mm

The case and the buckle are in White Gold.

Not for everyone, but for sure a great piece of Art created by Vacheron Constantin.

I actually like it, a lot!

Thanks for posting, Liger. Those are great photos!

I saw it in Paris in December. It's a magnificent creation!

Now that would be a conversation piece. It would be tempting to mount it on a rotating base as a piece of sculpture.

I have not had the pleasure of seeing this piece in particular.  I did see a lapis dial piece from a ... let's call it less fortunate era .  Let's just say it would have gone well with THIS outfit.

Still, the dial was amazing, even if the rest of the watch did not suit my aesthetic.  Those dials look especially fantastic paired with white metal and I am sure the white stones don't hurt either!  Thanks for sharing.
