Hi, here is a funny true story.

Few weeks ago during a watch exhibition, a friend of mine selling some items, was contacted by a guy selling himself a lot of watches. Among all 2 Vacheron Constantin. My friend called me immediatly knowing my interest for such brand , described them briefly and got my agrement for buying them at a specific price ; i was a little bit anxious not having seen them. Anyway, he did the transaction for me. At this time the seller decided to leave suddenly the exhibition  room and to do the check out of his hotel. My friend surprised wait for him using this free time to borrow the amount to be paid (as he did not have enough money with him !!!). Two hours after the seller was not back. My friend suddenly saw him discussing with another person, rush to him and discover that he was reselling the watches !!. My friend, that is a gentle man, at this time become a little bit hangry, roughly explain that a verbal agreement must be respected and that i twas no way to play double game. So he finally got the wathes that i show you here after and that i am very proud to own now.

Congratulations, Patrice! Both watches are very beautiful and very VC in my opinion. Thanks for sharing your story too.  It is sad to hear that some sellers still cannot be trusted (with products and/or arrangements) but at least the situation presented an opportunity for your gentleman friend to show why he is a "friend".  All's well that ends well, I guess. Enjoy your new darlings in the best of health! Cheers! Kazumi

Great chase Patrice!  Wonderful pieces too.  Can you share pics of the Verger case markings?  Also, are the indicies on the round teardrop case applied?  Love that cal. 203 movement .
