222 in yellow gold

My father recently asked me to find out more information on a pair of VC watches he has because he is thinking of selling them and I came across this site which I think would be the best place to be in touch with people who actually know about VC watches.

He has a VC 222 in yellow gold, as well as a Ladies 222 in yellow gold (quartz).

Does anybody have any insight as to how valuable these are? I want him to think it through before he decides to sell them. And in case he actually decides to sell them, what would be the best way to go about it?

here's some info on the 222 click here to see the post As for value, the best would be to look up the auction results of gold 222s on the online catalogues of Christie's, Sotheby's or Antiquorum. If he decides to sell I would suggest eithe an auction house or the sales corner on Time Zone or The Purists.

Alex, Thank you for the information you provided, it took a while for my father to make a decision, but he finally wants to sell the pieces. I have listed them on The Purists' website and if we don't find a buyer there we will then take it to the December auction at Christie's. Again thank you for your help, and if you want to have a look at our pieces here is the link for the listing I made.http://market.watchprosite.com/?show=collection.detail&id=49616 Regards, Adrian.
