31 Dec 2012 get together in Singapore

Hi all!

Blessed new year! It's so good to come back after a break and be reunited with my fellow VC fans.
Thanks for all your posts in the past few weeks - always cool to see members with new VC watches.

A few of us gathered in Singapore on 31 Dec 2012 to celebrate the end of a fantastic 2012 and to share our passion in watches.
Melvin was there too, along with 2 other friends (Ee Min and Alex) who also visited the VC manufacture some months back. It is great that we all got to know each other better, other than just "meet" on the forums.

Here are some of our watches' pictures. The only VC at this get-together was my Patrimony (I also shared with the gang my new Patek Philippe Annual Calendar 5146R, my latest acquistion).  I am proud to represent VC on this gathering!

After this gathering, some of the members (from this Singapore gang of ours) now understand better why I chose the VC Patrimony Traditionelle over the PP Calatravas, Breguet Classiques or Lange Saxonias. The 4400 movement and very well-finished case and dial impressed them.

Enjoy the pics!

Cheers,
robin wong

Thanks for saying hi.

It is more important to have the love for watches & passion to want to know more about them than merely owning them. Also, as you can see, the passion transcends nationalities.

Agreed. Watches are not merely insturments that tell time. In my humble opinion, watches are a form of an art, be it in terms of the design or the mechanics. From the kind of watch that people wears, I believe that it also transcends what kind of person he or she is like. There's just so much more in watches than just the ability to tell time.  Anyways, even though my watch collection is not in the same league as you guys (I'm just a student, and hence I do not have the budget, HAHA) but I do hope I can attend a couple of your gatherings some time in the future, because I'm a big fan of watches, and especially on timepieces such as VC. That would be great! :)
