hi there new to this forum i have recently purchased my first vintage vc ref 6394 i seen it at auction and loved it ive just found out from my watch repairer that the date wheel needs to be replaced ,can anyone give me a ball park figure as to how much this would cost ,regards chris sorry for poor picture

At least that seems to be the minimum price for VC to do any work on a vintage piece. Now I'm assuming from your text message that your watchmaker can't fix it or recommend someone else? Also can't tell if there are any other condition issues that VC may consider "manadatory". Please take some time to properly introduce your 6394 with more pictures. Also try the search feature if you haven't already. It's a much-loved model, especially yours with the flamboyant vertical indexes .

hi there thanks for your reply ,my watchmaker told me they charge a lot of money to fix at VC,the watch seems to be running fine but as my watchmaker said until wheel is fixed he does not know if there are any other problems ,ive contacted a watchmaker in uk that can make obsolete parts so im hoping he can help as i would like to get this watch back working 100% will try post some better pictures ,chris
