Advice for beginner

Hi All, I am hoping to purchase a Royal Eagle watch and had agreed a price of £5600 for a second hand piece. It's currently with Vacheron having full service, new crystal and strap fitted.

I then stumbled across a New but older version of the Royal Eagle at £6000.

I do like both but would value opinions from those that know far more than me. Is the second hand one over priced or does the slightly newer model hold a higher residual sale price. Hope to hear from you soon. Many thanks, Alasdair
Hi and welcome. If you do a quick search on the

auction results for these models you'll see that the prices are close to what the second hand model is selling for so I wouldn't say its overpriced. The new model may have been priced aggressively because the retailer certainly needed to turn inventory and in any event the seller of this model is not an authorised dealer so the watch has probably been around. I think at this point considering that the second hand model is getting full service it will probably be in better condition than the new model who probably needs servicing too by now. My advice would be go for the model which puts the biggest smile on your face

Thanks very much for a really helpful bit of advice. Really appreciate it. Alasdair
I like the second one (priced at GBP 6000) more than

the first one, though both are nice.  First one is more subtle and discreet, whereas the second one has subtlety with colour.  You cannot go wrong with either one.

New here, and I am considering these exact models as well.

Did you get you VC Royal Eagle?

Does anyone else have more details on these models?  Thanks
