Re: Alex and Bob, since you asked so nicely :-)

If you look closely, the hands have disappeared. I assure they are there but I angled the light to show the name and logo and some of the indices. I only had one light available so the hands have diappeared in the shadows. (They weren't photoshoped out)

But I thought the reason you were able to find this watch available for sale and why Gary didn't jump on it right away was because it is missing its hands. (just kidding). It looks just like a Boutique Special, but in white...very nice. BR, Dan

Thanks Dan, Hopefully when I get my proper setup in order with a light box and more than one light, i can make those hands reappear. Regards, Joseph
I'm usually not a fan of white metal/black dial but here it looks

Before I came across this one, i was very close to pulling the trigger on a RG with white dial which i also liked very much. But I found the WG/black dial really stunning. I always wanted a Patrimonie Contemporaine. The design is superb as is the Cal. 1400 Best, Joseph

I do not need to see any more, Joseph. I already want one! I did not even know this existed until yesterday. What a great catch! I am beginning to realize how special black dials are in the VC world, and combined with a white gold case, you have a realy treasure here. And it is so good looking. I have been dreaming of the ruthenium dial Pt. Patrimony Contemporaine, but this is a worthy competitor, indeed. Congratulations and thanks for posting a preview photo for us. Cheers, Robert
Thanks for the kind words, Robert

It's a real gem. It's the only VC with that combination that I own which makes it even more special. Kind regards, Joseph
Nice one, Joseph!

A very elegant variation on one of VC's most elegant designs. I expect to see you wearing it when I next see you in a tuxedo. :-) Bill

LE 75 or 70?
08/29/2012 - 10:27
I guess it is the LE for Germany & Austria from 2007, isn´t it? Tried it twice and liked it a lot, but felt it looked slightly too big on my wrist. Maybe it was a mistake ... still think it looks so beautiful ... Congrats! Oliver

Thanks very much!

It was an edition of 75. It definitly does look good on the wrist! Regards, Joseph
Congratulations and welcome to the club!

Congratulations, JB! The Conteporaine is a real looker. Very simple and elegant, yet not without those little details which set it apart from all the other simple watches. The Boutique model I got during our SIHH 2008 meeting still sees a lot of wrist time (except during the humid Summer months). Even the regular production models look great. Wear it in good health, mon ami! Kazumi

Thank you so much, mon vieux! Its nice to hear from you. I hope all is well. I do remember when you picked up that watch in Geneva. I admired it greatly then and still do. I think that was what got me thinking about it at the time .But it had to wait til now :-) All the best, joseph
