Alex, Loungers, I saw a picture of an unusual VC in...

...a watch magaine. Basically, the article was about the watch collection of a movie star.  Below is the basic description of the piece: - It is round with the Patrimony Aesthetic. - It has the GS emblem between 3 and 4. Close to 3 and 9, it has two transparent tourbillon like cages, which are probably barrels. And a 6, it has a PR indicator. - And it has a central seconds hand.  Something about this piece just did not seem right, but being a part of a movie star's collection...I am confused.  Could someone shed light on this?
doesn't ring a bell. Can you post scan of the article photo?

Thanks Alex...I am actually shocked that a leading

global publications local subsidiary would publish a photo (2 page spread) without verifying whether a piece was fake or not. To make matters worse, it is the collection of a major movie star. Is it ok to reveal the name of the publication and/or the movie star on THL? I bought this issue at an airport yesterday and throughout the local domestic flight I was pondering over this piece.
Unless it's an Atelier piece

What's your take on the watch, Alex? Is this a part of Cabinotiers

one-off creation? All the right signature signs are there? What's the right barrel for, though? And the power reserve is simply ambitna turn-off...
its a fake :-(

it's embarrasing to have this in a collection in the first place

not to mention to boast it in the press. shouldn't VC take proper legal action towards this individual or the magazine presenting the fake? Geez, they even put a geneva seal on the dial (just like on my Jubilee 1755) as a sign/proof of the highest craftsmanship. What has this world come to???
Radek I am writing an email to the editor of the magazine

And pointing this to their attention. I will keep all of you updated. Regarding legal action etc it is decision which Alex has to take.
maybe I'm just in a good mood today...

...but I cannot stop laughing at this! Thanks kk, you've made my day. I should be outraged by this, but the only thing I can think of is this artist showing off his 'collection', and putting in the middle of the money shot an ugly fake... pure goldlaugh
