Alex, what is the price of the new boutique piece?

I can't stop thinking about the new boutique piece. The black dial is mesmerizing! May I know the price for both versions? Also, does the boutique give any discount? Is it limited to any amount or time for release (e.g. only for sale for 1 year)? Thanks!

I won't be sleeping again tonight :(

The Patrimony Boutique editions with black dial
06/01/2007 - 19:33

Hi Rei,

I know what you mean, I haven't stopped thinking about those watches either :-)

The prices are the same as the regular production models (ie: $12,200 manual wind, $18,200 automatic give and take a bit depending on the taxes in your location).

The watches are available in all VC boutiques and not only in the Geneva boutique (list of VC boutiques on www.vacheron-constantin.com).

These watches are not limited editions per se put definately limited production so there may be a waiting list.

Wow, there's quite a big difference between auto & manual versions. Fortunately, I like the manual version better but have to say the automatic one is much better to use since you don't need to wind it every other day.

Thanks Alex! I will try to ask my AD tomorrow if he can help. They are good friends with VC guys in Singapore :)

Let me know if it works. I tried and got a no for an answer :-(, Where

are you located?

Hi Alex, I am in Jakarta - Indonesia.

The nearest boutique is Singapore. Buy I go there very often as well :)

It would be worth a trip :-) (nt)

Hi Alex, AD can't help but they'll try.

I think I need to go straight to VC boutique...is there an overwhelming demand for this edition?

Yes demand is high and there may be a waiting list since the very

first models hit the boutiques only 10 days ago!

You should call the boutique in Singapore or KL to make sure they have one in stock before making the trip.

Hi Rei. You might also want to check out...

You might also want to check out the Contemporaine hour, minutes, seconds automatic (the simple, no-date display version of the automatic) which we should be hearing more of soon!

Are?!!! Mada atarashii moderu aru no? Genteiban desuka?

I didn't know about that Kazumi san, does it come with black dial as well? You know, I went to AD today to check out the regular patrimony manual wind (RG, silver dial)... it's so thin, light and sits perfectly on my wrist! I think I am in love again...BAD for my wallet though :(

Alex, please share more info... I already bugged Singapore boutique & all my watch friends there! LOL!

Kazumi is an evil man :-) but he is correct, I don't know where
06/02/2007 - 19:37

he gets his info !!!!!

The model he refers to will be launched in certain markets only (at least as a start) but no RG/black dial :-(

Ok...then my process of securing the boutique piece>

As Alex mentioned, I believe the watch is a regular production model and at this point does not have an RG/Black dial boutique version.

Regarding my source of information...you might be surprised to find out that, aside from the usual "friends", it was just a regular watch magazine this time around (so it's public knowledge in Japan now).  In fact, it mentions (and some photos included) other VC offerings (LE's) that have not yet been shown in any of the popular fora (I think).  I'd let the cat out of the bag but then Alex would probably put ME in the sack if I kept leaking out more info...

Cheers!

Rei-san, where did you learn your Nihongo?
06/03/2007 - 06:32

Rei-san,

Your Japanese is excellent (maybe better than mine)!  Are you fluent in Japanese too?  I suppose, your trips abroad also take you to Japan from time to time.

Anyway, the manual winding Contemporaine is very beautiful and I also found myself imagining it on my wrist (while I was wearing a similarly sized RG Jubilee).  I was trying to imagine how "mean" it would look with a dark brown strap (like the Jubilee's).  Just perfect for an evil man like me.

I am still trying to figure out whether I should do a coming out with the "bad to the bones" black dial  or disguise myself with the purer lines of the regular WG version.

Do let us know where your quest takes you.

Best Regards,

Kazumi

Hi Kazumi, I do agree that dark brown strap combined>
06/03/2007 - 07:34

with the boutique piece will be a killer!  That's what I plan to do should I get mine.

Something about RG & black dial that makes me go crazy. I think I have decided to go for it. I already contacted Jaw & VC boutique to help out.

R/e Nihongo, hm...well I studied Japanese long time ago (my "minor" back in US...strange, isn't it? ) & I even went to Ohtsu (Shiga-ken) to learn bit more. I used to watch a lot of Japanese tv's, all my CDs back then were almost Japanese artists (demo, saikin no artisto shiranaine. Ongaku no taipu wa chotto...awanai tokane...) My Japanese better than yours?  Sou omoimasen. Motto renshuu suru hazu kamoshiremasenyo. I am ok in Japanese, not too fluent but definitely won't get lost in Japan. Your English amazes me though!

Hello Rei. Wow your..
06/03/2007 - 08:37

...Nihongo is really good.  You definitely won't have problems here.  BTW, my in-laws live in Ohtsu so I do visit Shiga-ken once in a while (I was there yesterday).

Actually, I wasn't born and raised in Japan so my first language is actually English.  I only learned Japanese after coming here more than 15 years ago.  Which is why I wasn't really kidding when I said your Nihongo could be better than mine!

Anyway, just like you, there are no boutiques here in Japan either so I will also have to figure out how to get a glimpse of the black-dial.

Good luck!

Ah, I see...
06/03/2007 - 11:08

hehe, no wonder your English is so "un-Japanese"

Well, r/e the black dialled patrimony, I really think it's worth collecting. Most dress watches from PP, VC & AP are with silver/white dials so black really speaks to me. I will keep you all posted r/e the answer from VC Singapore.
