May it time only happy moments and bring endless smiles! Lets see if you can do a Miami Vice number like Francois and put on a white strap!! Best regards, Kazumi
Sorry Kazumi...
05/28/2010 - 00:57

The smile is still there...

and no, I have still not pushed the chrono pushers... what is wrong with me? How much longer?
Alex, why is it that this movement doesn't have the Geneva Seal?
05/30/2010 - 13:43
Is it finished to Geneva Seal criteria, and just doesn't have it due to a licensing deal or something? Or, is it not to the required grade? Would be interesting and useful to have any specifics in regard to this model.... Thanks for any info you can provide. Gary
my understanding is that, whilst the movement is finished to

Wear in great health and let us know how smooth those chrono pushers are once you finally try them out.  P.S. You could let me borrow the watch and I could try them out for you. Best, Mike
No problem.... come on over!

The moonphase disc is definitely 3-D..
05/28/2010 - 01:11
.. but not quite to that extent!... and a little higher quality control!
I am very happy for you, but maybe just a little jealous! Best, Tim

Your post made me remember a very nostalgic scene. It is off-topic, but might be of some interest. Growing up, the family would get together each Christmas at a different faction's home... rotating the 'party' around. I remember one year, I and my siblings & cousins were being entertained with sea-stories by a colourful uncle, who shall remain nameless. The Uncle was in the merchant navy, and as they do, he had acquired several tattoos over the years. He would tell us stories (really, stories for they were not actually true) about how he had 'obtained' each one. At 8 or 9 though - you believe them of course! He had a fair covering of them on his arms, and who knows where else. One Christmas, one of us dared asked him, nervously, which was his favourite tattoo, and why. "Well..." he paused. "There is one... that you have never seen". Our eyes opened wide... We all leant in towards the story-teller, as he lowered his tone. Nine or 10 young children, captivated by his mysterious tone. "I have a 'W' tattoo-ed on each buttock" ..we gasped. "... and when I bend over it says 'WOW'". So - thanks for enduring my non-watch story!!
Nice Story

It is THE most beautiful perpetual calendar ever! You've been waiting for it for quite a while, but I'm sure it was definitely worth the wait... ...and it does look very good with the dark blue strap, maybe I should switch back. You definitely made the right choice - as much the new Patrimony QP with grey dial looks nice, the 47212 is in a class of its own! Enjoy!!!!!! Cheers, Francois
