Another post that not are portraiting a watch,

instead it's walking-stick for a true gentleman,
from, yes quite right, the Art Deco period.
Silver and ebony.

I bought it when I visited dear Alex in Paris,
last summer.

I love the stylized dog head and enjoy sitting with it in my hand.

Another post that not are portraiting a watch,

Some years ago Patrizzi had returning auctions,
at Antiquorum of walking-sticks !
September 28, 2000 in NY, was a very impressing oneAnother post that not are portraiting a watch,
where it among others,
was sold a walkin-stick from Fabergé for $ 46.000 !

Walking sticks are one of the few other accessories that men can indulge in.  The dog head on yours is very well done.  As it is silver, do you need to polish it often? While it is not nearly as nice as yours, I have one that has gotten some notice and comments as it is a bit different.  The handle is nothing exciting but the stick portion is made from carbon fibre.  Kind of sporty up close but from a distance it looks like any other black cane. Cheers, Duncan

Hi Duncan, That might come in very handy when set upon by some ne'er-do-wells! Do it have a blade that comes out of the bottom on the push of a button? Regards, Joseph

Hi Joseph, While there is no blade hidden inside the cane, it nevertheless can prove to be useful in dealing with unwanted individuals.  I recall at a recent event when I almost used it to whack a really obnoxious person, who was annoying all those that he came into contact with...   Cheers, Duncan

No as a matter never done yet, good silver used, doesn't get black, I noticed before! It's a kind of anti stress thing for me,  holding it while reading abook or watching TV. Doc

Hi Doc, Hmmm, I think you are the first person who I have heard of using a walking stick when reading or watching TV. Hope that it continues to provide you with much enjoyment for many years no matter how it is used. Cheers, Duncan
