Another VC Aviator Watch

As you know I'm a huge fan of VC's sporting watches and absolutely love the vintage steel pieces.

This 1936 Aviator's Degree Watch was featured in the 2005 QM of VC auction and features a massive 57mm case.  The base movement is very similar to the 1903 "thigh watch" Alex posted last week, except for an unusual complication.  In this version, the central hand revolves every 24 hours, while the hour hand revolves every 4 hours and the minute hand every 4 minutes.

This seems to be V&C's variation on Longine's 1931 Hour Angle watch designed by Lindberg to determine latitude and longitude.  Fascinating history! Another VC Aviator Watch

single button chrono which was made on special order of Kinge George V of England and somewhere down the line ended up in the hands of Goering. Its not the same as the one Dean posted.
