Any info on this model?

Hi, This is my first post here, I'm not currently an owner of a Vacheron Constantin, but hopefully that will change soon! I just wondered if anyone out there could shed any light on this model?

Any info on this model?

It's listed as a ref 6571 but the web doesn't throw up anything and the dial also seems very unusual which I actually like. I can see the GENEVE is missing the accent so maybe a refinish? It seems a reputable source but any info/advice would be great. Thanks in advance, Dan -- this article is waiting for photos --
The dial is really original. if you can get ahold of the

case and movement numbers I could check

The sharp edges on those stunning lugs and bezel tells me that we may be looking at an unpolished original. Needless to say: Take the Don's (Alex) advice and send or post scans of the movement and case back. Get ready for that special illness known as "VC Fever" ;-) It's very contagious! Good hunting, Luca aka. Miki

Thank you for the replies gentlemen, most kind. By "really original", do you mean unique or that the dial has not been refinished? Were there ever any watches sold without the accent in GENEVE? I will try to get some more information on the case and movement numbers. Thanks again.

IMHO Vintage "Really Original" Are those rare birds there are as they left the factory. Meaning unpolished, all original parts, with natural aging or patina. They do not have to include the original box and/or papers, but that would be a big plus. As far as to you other questions: I defer to the real experts that abound here in The Lounge! Good luck, Miki
by really original I meant that it has an intersting design. I haven't

seen such markers, The accent on Genève doesn't systematically mean a refurbished dial, both existed
The fonts are wrong

AFAIK, GENEVE was never in a larger and different font! Unfortunately I don't have an original catalog photo of the reference to compare.

Interesting, would that suggest that this is maybe on to move away from?

When you were just a kid did anyone ever tell you not to put your hand on the stove?

That type of "woven" dial was present in a number of models. One of my old but quite small catalogues shows Refs 6999, 7079 and 7227 with similar textured dials. But I have never seen the word "Geneve", with or without the accent grave in a larger point size than "Vacheron Constantin". In fact it was often the other way around (FWIW). JB
