Anyone know about this platinum Toledo 1952

Toledo 1952 in platinum was launched in 2003 and limited to

only 100 pieces (the watches are numbered on the case side) Its a gorgeous watch and  an excellent combo with its platinum case and slate grey dial.

N° 1 was offered to Claude Daniel Proellochs (the then CEO) by his collegues as a gift for his 60th birthday.

Here's a fuzzy scan of the watch on Mr. Proellochs' wrist

a dream come true...

was this really made in only 100 pieces? I have read some place else that production was limited to 200 watches... I guess this other source was not well informed. Anyways, this watch is really beautiful and I am planning on getting it sooner or later

Very cool combination

What a coincidence.  No, I am not wearing a PT Toledo but I just strapped on my WG Toledo today since it has finally gotten cool enough to switch back to leather strap watches (hibernation time for my Overseas).

The PT case with slate grey dial combo is really striking.  What's more, the white date ring adds to a very sharp two-tone effect that sets it apart from the regular (gold) models.

I wish VC would use such dial colors on regular models (but I guess they want to keep it for the LEs)...

Yes, I have seen and tried this one on in AD 2 years ago.

I didn't know how many it was produced. Very heavy & expensive though after my AD gave me superb disc. I think it's gone now :)
