Apologies for re-opening question

Apologies Mr Ghotbhi if you are researching the watch which I put on here on 31/08/09 and posted photos on 05/09/09, you replied on 07/09/09.  I am fearful that you might have overlooked this subject, so have put it to the fore again, I have also
magnified the photos taken, so that they may be of more help to you.

As I previously said of the watch
"
At last I can add some photos of the watch, they are not great but acceptable when magnified, if this can be done here, as I said before It is a ladies 18ct Fob Watch, the dial is surrounded by seed pearls and the caseback has blue enamelling. The watchface is marked J. E Caldwell, Philadelphia, the dustcover is marked Vacheron & Constantin. The case has a serial number 173872 and the watch serial number is 288279.
I might also add that the watch is running, though I have not checked the timekeeping.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would also like to compliment all of you on this site, it has got me thinking of buying a Vacheron & Constantin watch, even though my real passion is for antique clocks.

Thanks for your help

was not uncommon then for VC to have dials signed by their retailers even thoiugh maintaining a signature on case and movement. The watch dates from 1890. Hope this helps
