Archie42 has left the building...

Hello All,
It is with much sadness that I announce that Archie42 will be leaving this forum.

The reason for this is simple - I sold my Vacheron & Constantin 6405 last week.

I have really enjoyed my time here.... but I did not appreciate being called a "troll" by some members when I asked about a leather strap being genuine.  I was rather disappointed when Alex did not ban this user - or warn against such remarks.  That was the final nail in the coffin as far as I was concerned.

There was also the matter of the Lasale movement being thinner than the VC 1003.  I wont dwell on this... but the truth is the truth.

I wish you well and I may even be returning in the not too distant future.

Kind regards,

Don't be a stranger...

Archie, In all fairness, it was one person. and I did try to verify the authenticity which did take some time. One should never burn bridges. You never know when there will be a flood. Regards, Joseph

Please return from your sabbatical with a fresh outlook and clear perspective.  A democratic forum is shaped by its members and we come in all idiolocial shapes and sizes, but with a common appreciation of each other's honest intentions.  Striving to meet the high expectations of what I consider to be the premier Vacheron (&) Constantin forum can be rewarding or frustrating, depending on your attitude enlightened.  Sorry if this sounds like a lecture but your post seemed to invite a response...
