Authentic VC ?

Hi,

I would like to buy a vintage VC watch but I am not sure if it's authentic.

The seller tells me that the last owner changed the watch case to melt its gold, but that the movment is 100% authentic.

(48002 (Cal. 1130) model ? 1960 ?...)

Can you help ?
Thanks,

Here are the pictures:

Hi, Welcome to the Lounge! I can't see your pictures (I only get 6, small, white placeholders where the pictures should be). VC's ref. numbers refer to the case, so if a movement was recased: the reference number would not be relevant. If you really want a VC, I would suggest you be patient and search a little bit more.  Because it is recased (even if the movement, dial, and hands are all original): most people, and I believe the Brand itself, would not acknowledge it as a VC watch. Now, if you love the look of the watch and it brings a smile to your face when you wear it: then go for it!  Because nothing else really matters.  :-)  Just remember, don't pay the same price you would for an all original VC. Best Regards, Dan
if I were you I wouldn't go for it. The fact that the case is not

original takes away the desirability (and value) of the watch. Furthermore cal 1130 isn't one of VC's nicest movements either....
As you say, the movement is quite ordinary but...

...to me the case looks OK! Ironic or what... What was cal 1130 used for? Regard Ed
the 1130 was used in the Phidias

Thanks smiley, Is there any difference from your point of view between these two movements or this is just the pic quality...?
the movement looks fine but once again I can only advise you

to stay away from this watch, the case is not original and the movement is not one of VC's best (at least in terms of look and finish)
