It'd be different if it were patek 3969 (jump hour) but VC also has some gorgeous jump hour watches!
I have the 1912 but would go for the Patek as the case is

more contemprary in size, the guillochage is beautiful and it has a form movement.

Although I'm lovin' my 1912 I must agree. As usual your comments are spot on. However I'll bet our 1912's wear better, articulated lugs, and cost a little less.

I prefer the PP in this case (pun intended ) I've never been a big fan of this largre number font ( art nouveau?), but the PP is more restrained and better proportioned. The beautiful guilloché on the dial is a big draw also. Lovely elegant dial, chrono movement. It does make the VC look a little palid. JB
Hi Joseph, its not a chronometer movement, Patek just used the name of

Thanks Alex... those little buggers!! Joseph
Tough choice...

I like the crown and the articulated lugs of the VC.  The general aesthetics of the dial is good and it is a pretty watch despite its smallish proportions.  I think it is really pretty in rose gold. Like Alex, I also like the contemporary size and shape of the PP's case (however, this should not go against the VC as it was designed much earlier).  The in-house form movement coupled with the see-through caseback are a definitely cool though.  I love the guillochage but I am not too fond of the way the arabics are presented in the ring. If I had my way, I would have the VC's aticulated lugs and crown on the PP's case.  The time would be displayed with the VC's exploding arabics on the outer half of the dial with a railroad track for the minutes just inside the arabics.  The center of the dial would have guillochage too. Ciao! Kazumi

A wonderful compromise, Kazumi. (I'm serious) Next time I have any negotiations to do, I'll make sure you're there! Maybe YOU should have been in Congress yesterday. Surely you would have been able to put through that 700 billion dollar deal! Best Wishes, Joseph

Thanks for making my day JB, although there is nothing too original about my compromise. As Examiners in the USPTO would probably say regarding my invention (design actually), "it would have been easy for one skilled in the art to combine the features of the PP and VC to arrive at the present invention.  Therefore the present invention is rejected as being anticipated by the prior art." At any rate, I hope my idea looks as good when executed as it does as a concept inside my head.   As for Congress, it'll be 700 billion less a few bucks for moi.

Wao! this is a response, I would love to see how Fred925 would

I really like the PP but Vc is great!!!
10/01/2008 - 20:19
In my opinion the PP looks like a Frank Muller(although it has a Gondolo traditional look. When on the other hand the Vc has a diffrent look, which although looks like a Frank Muller, IS Diffrent!!! Due to the stretched ou numbers. Vc is my choice! But still the PP is beatiful!!! Janek
neither of them...

VC has a very nice design but is rather on the smallish side. PP has got a more modern look and size but it is simply not my cup of tea...

just the way it was:)
None of those 2 watches!

I am not keen of this kind of case and watch form. Cheers
