Sorry, Alex, I had trouble attaching it.

Dave

Not sure

to call it a watch, kind of a frightening-fryin pan.

The crude part of me is in control cheeky

I have on the trusty Patrimony Automatic Date.  Love that watch, Alex.

Well, our two days of Spring in Beijing are over
05/01/2015 - 00:38

and summer has started with 32C/90F temperatures yesterday...so out comes the water-resistant pieces.

I see somebody has a frightening frying-pan.  I guess mine could be used as a ship's anchor.

Well, our two days of Spring in Beijing are over

Its been a long time for me as well since I last visited...
05/01/2015 - 12:56

So its definately an opportune time to post.  Must say I have missed this place and am taking advantage of a long weekend to catch-up on many of the great posts and articles.  Makes me realize that I really must visit here more often.

Gents, stunning watches as always!  And Alex, those crab lugs... they are what (watch) dreams are made of!

Here's my contribution (the hairy wrist of course wink):

Its been a long time for me as well since I last visited...

And the obligatory wristshot devil:

All the best,

Walid

Retrograde kept me company on my Hongkong trip !

I just want you to know how exceptionally jealous I am at this moment
05/01/2015 - 15:47

I love this piece!  Exquisite!

Thanks for the compliment laugh ! Now let me draw your attention to another interesting piece which I tried on today....cheeky

MÉTIERS D'ART LES UNIVERS INFINIS - HORSEMAN. The dial pattern depicts Ottoman horsemen, in gold and mother-of-pearl marquetry.

That Crab is stunning Alex
05/01/2015 - 17:58

A wonderful piece, should be a candidate for re-issue wink.  This is the VC I wear most nowadays...

That Crab is stunning Alex

Nice watch Dean.
05/01/2015 - 18:51

I like to see the "older" arched name style.  Is that a combo you came up with, or did that dial case and strap combo come together?  I really like it a lot.

A parts-bin special
05/02/2015 - 00:14

all VC yes.  There is another Gen I OS on strap lurking out there, if the owner would care to show it...

One sporty / one classy

Hello everyone!

Audemars Piguet ROO Diver this morning... and Patrimony 86180 this afternoon :-)

Nice, a real grail for the JLC crowd
05/02/2015 - 00:12

show us the inside too enlightened.  I like the connection with V&C, as the Geomatic cal. 881 was a further development of a commissioned design, the cal. 493, which was the basis for an entire generation of V&C autos.

Alex, I just love this VC of yours
05/02/2015 - 02:51

sorry, no VC today

Kari instead

Huge congratulations on the 1731! heartyes

Dan / Liger, I did'nt. I just thought I would have some fun. :-0

kk, shame on you, and if it happens again...shame on me :-)
05/03/2015 - 02:13

There is an American saying that goes "Fool me once, shame on you.  Fool me twice, shame on me"

So, I think the best way to fool me a second time is to actually buy a 1731, show it, and I will not believe it.  winkcheeky

Dan...LOL. just wanted to have some fun. I have a sort of idea on my next
05/03/2015 - 04:38

watch purchase; hopefully few months down the road.

Sometimes one also has a premonition, and I wonder if the power of dreams will show me the 2016 OS before it is actually revealed by Alex on THC.

There is also another brand which I am eyeing.

A PERFECT dream Garde-Temps. Huge Congratulations.

Love these threads where one must keep returning to find out what juicy items have been added yes.  I was away when you introduced this beautiful ref 6089 so I'm very glad to see it now.  Not quite a Diavolo - I'd like to call it a "Spock" for the ears, eyebrows, and Vulcan salute at 12!

What reference is the vintage?

The Spock!
05/03/2015 - 19:49

Hah. I literally L'd OL. That is pretty great. I guess if we have a batman, we can have a Spock.

the Spock's father watch, who knows??
05/03/2015 - 22:07

I remember your joy when you discovered it in the metal (too shortly sorry) during the THL dinner at SIHH 2015.

What a positive shock when I saw it last summer.

A very favorite, which has a lot of wrist time.

Cheers,

Liger

Very ELEGANT on your wrist ALEX. Like the strap combination too.
