or you might have just forgot you were wearing it and walked away   Wonderful recreation of a vintage design with it's own original twist.
And Alex is back in the striper business ;-)

Just to please François More seriously, this 1921 is really beautiful and HUGE !!! I am so disappointed I could not get to the Salon today but I was working. But I do intend to pay a visit this week-end.

Seriously, Tacha, you should really take the time this weekend and visit the VC stand... I somehow have the feeling that this American 21 could be for you. It is not as big as you think it is... Plus, you might get to see Alex do a little show (for the avoidance of doubt, I am not using the smiley...) Cheers, Francois
Thanks Fred for sharing this report with us.

I am beginning to regret not making the trip to Paris. Cheers, Duncan
You have good taste Fred...

...it is indeed a fabulous watch. When I saw it in the flesh, I was really impressed with the finish of the dial, and the wacth REALLY looks good on a wrist... I can understand your feelings for this watch - the good news is that it is not the most expensive VC ever made, I found the price to be quite reasonable... Cheers, Francois
Fred, that smile on Alex means just one thing !

I visited the exhibition yesterday evening (late afternoon in fact) and met our friend Alex with this beautiful American 21. Nice watch, besides a certain number of QdI in different metals... I was happy to visit the VC booth, and also some others...
Fred925, thanks for the pics,

Paid a visit to the Salon des Belles Montres this afternoon. Next time I'll definitely have to take a half day off to go there on a week day. The Salon was packed with people which made it quite difficult to view the watches. As for the Vacheron Constantin booth, a lot of people were admiring some outstanding watches. And Tommy, I have to say that after seing the Overseas in RG with the RG band, well I was wrong. Go for it! It really is an amazing piece. Was a little disappointed as there weren't any ladies pieces on display. But that was the case for most watchmakers Saw a beautiful exemplary of a Bouddha Bras en l'Air at the VanCleef & Arpels booth and some very nice vintage VC pieces especially two pocket watches from 1830 Being able to have a look at all those amazing watches in real was a great experience. And the good thing is that I now know which brands I enjoy appart from VC now. IWC and Lange & Söhne are definitely on my list now. And I discovered Philippe Dufour's Simplicity and Duality models which I found beautiful. Thanks Alex for sending the invitation. Hope we meet some other time!
