Bespoke watch specs

Some of you were asking about the specifications of the watch.
Here is a photo of the Certificate (of most of it), which describes it.

Bespoke watch specs
HI Joseph, just wondering...

does the Certificate mention that it is a bespoke watch and who it was made for? BR, Dan

Hi Dan, No it doesn't specifically mention my name but it does say on the last page (not photographed) that it has the words" Les Cabinotiers" which does identify it as a "bespoke" watch. During production it was called the "J" or "Joseph" watch. Regards, Joseph

Joseph, Was it your request not to have your name on the certificate? Such a beautiful watch and now knowing how much of your ideas and desires went into it, having your name attached somehow cements it to you...just a little bit of history for you and more importantly the lucky family member that will own someday (obviously that will be a VEEEERRRY lang time from now. John

If I didn't know any better, I'd say I was looking at two watches (vintage and new). Anyway, at 38mm it is the perfect size for a dress watch (but a wrist shot would be nice, just to make sure).   Ciao Kazumi

Joseph, thanks for sharing the creative process and final results.  Your initial ideas were stunning but this final product is equally so and really syncs with Vacheron's values, both modern and classic.  The choice of pink gold and guilloche dial with time-only display will ensure this piece remains "timeless" . The movement is certainly worthy of your bespoke creation!  Based on Vacheron's manufacture caliber 2450, the 2460 features ceramic bearings for the rotor which provide permanent lubrication!  This automatic movement followed the caliber 1400 as the next step in Vacheron's goal to establish an entire family of in-house movements.  In fact, Mr. Torres said in a 2007 WatchTime article that one goal was to make the 2450 family of automatics "as beautiful as it's well-known and well-regarded caliber 1120".

Thank you very much for the kind comments, Dean. I agree that this family of watches will really enhance VC's reputation. Seeing them assembled at their Manufacture confirmed that for me. Regards, Joseph
