Best Tool to Open Caseback...

of the 12-sided screwback case on my vintage V&C?  I'd like to photograph the 1072 movement.

I don't know the name but what my watchmaker uses is a round

object which is hollow in the middle, it is placed on the case back and by turning it you unscrew the back.

I discovered a watch a jewelry supply store in my city but the owner doesn't really know anything but Rolex tools.  He showed me what you described and said it was for removing a caseback that has already been loosened with another tool.  Unfortunately we couldn't figure out what would work to loosen a 12-sided screwback case.

Maybe someone knows which Bergeon tool would work?

looks something like this depend on which brand

Yes, it's the one,

but you have to be extremely careful!

I advise you to do it with a watchmaker the first time.

You nearly need three hands to do it right!

You have to hold the instrument in place,

press it down and then screw.

It's quite diificult and it will easily slip ,

and then you scratch the back

Or you can use it in combo with

that is exactly what I need!  I'll apply the utmost caution to avoid any scratches...a read a post somewhere that you can place saranwrap down first to protect the case.  Hopefully I'll have some pictures to post next week.
