Boutique hopping

It's public holiday here.  What better why to spend time meaningfully than visiting watch boutiques. First stop was of cos VC boutique & viewed several very interesting watches.  I'll let the photos do the talking.

I like the Cal 1003SQ very much, though the watch is more suited for display than wearing in my own view. 1921 & Marco Polo are close second.  A friend was intending to get a VC but maybe next time. He did get something from its sister boutique though, after checking the timepiece out :)

And I saw some really awesome VC's. I saw the calibre 2253, tried on the 2260 (14 day Tourbillon), saw the Malte Tourbillon, all the HIstoriques and also the 1972 with them (though this is not part of the HIstoriques, almost all the patrimony's, QDL'S, and some MDA's - the Japanese lacquer series. One piece which really caught my eye and looks way better in the flesh was the Patrimony Contemporaine Retrogade Day and Date.. It seems ever since the launch of the 1731 minute repeater I love all pieces Contemporaine. The halo effect seems to be working. :-)
I was there 3 weeks ago..

Saw the 1972 again and still love the case alot. If only it has an open case to appreciate the super delicate and and beautiful calibre 1003 made in gold. Made friends with Stuart our friendly local VC watchmaker in Singapore. Great guy. I wanna visit the boutique again! Cheers Robin
