cal 1126 used in this model is based on JLC 889/2

Dear Alex,

I am not very familiar to understand your answer. Please, can you explain to me your again answer !

Due to I am very interest to buy the Overseas I would like to know if the mechanism of it, it is or not from V.C. house.

Sorry for my question but I will pay a lot of money, for my pocket for it, I would like to know if I will pay only the name or the quality of V.C. on it !
Thanks you again,

Nikolas

Hi Nikolas,

The caliber which animates the "simple" Overseas (ref 47040) is a Jaeger-LeCoultre movment!

So, it's not from VC manufacture....but VC works this movment again (like many other brands/manufactures)

JLC manufactures extremely reliable and famous movements, so don't worry abut the quality of your future watch

For proofs, this same JLC889/2 is also assembled on many Audemars Piguet ("simple" RO...), Breguet (Marine -the old one-), IWC (Ingenieur), VC watches (the Overseas 47040, the Toledo's caliber is based on the JLC889, etc.), and JLC of course and many other watches!!!...each brand will work again the movment: 21carats gold rotor for AP....etc...etc...

The JLC 889 was invented in 1983...and still exist and assembled in current watches!

So really!!!...don't worry about the reliability of this movment!

If you decide to buy this very nice Overseas, you will pay for the VC quality...and the name

If you really wish a 100% "manufactured" watch...price are twice...minimun ^^

...This watch seems to be you "coups de coeur"!! So buy it if you can afford, you will not regret; perhaps you don't have a "pure" in-house caliber inside...but it's reliable...it's the essential no?

Thank you very much for your last answer too !

My last question is : I come from Greece and I would like to know if Overseas that sell your official retailer in Greece are made from your factory in Swiss or somewhere else in the world.

Thank you again for your help and I will inform you as soon as I will buy it from Greece !
