Calendar made in 1952

Here's a couple of pictures of a ref 4560 made in 1952. The case is yellow gold with a snap back and measures 35 1/2mm in diameter not including the crown. They call the lugs "corne de forms fantaisie". The dial is silver with hard enamel lettering and lines, In particular I really like the size of the sub-dial on this watch, its large and easier to read for my old eyes. The movement is Caliber 12" 1/2-495 17 jewel manual wind and it winds and sets like butter.

the chronos you posted earlier on you really made my day

I'm going to go to bed with a huge smile on my face

How did such a big vintage Patek fan like yourself become so interested in VC?

Started 25 years ago when I 1st started collecting. My interests were LeCoultre and Vacherons.I migrated to the pateks and still enjoy them very much. I went to a dinner in NYC a couple of months ago and saw the Chronometere Royal and that got me back interested in vacherons, since then I have been somewhat obsessed (in a fun way). I like the classic styling in watches and during the 80's and 90's Vacheron just wasn't what I was looking for. The newer products seem to be getting back to there traditional roots and that interests me very much. I like the new perpetual chronos very much, the one with windows, hope they will make them in rose or white gold not just platinum. Plus a little variety is a good thing.

agree with what you say on the path VC is currently taking (nt)

Congrats for this acquisition. This is a very nice step in VC vintage.

Wear it in good health.

Wow! Beautiful piece. Congratulations!

Thanks for sharing JohnLy.

VC really made nice triple calendars then, and they just don't make lugs like those anymore (so artistic, so luxurious).

Maybe VC can come up with a triple calendar in the patrimony collection one of these days.

Anyway, wear your treasures in the best of health.

now, the forum is getting more interesting with such watches..

these are the watches that'll kill my die-hard patek-fan friend. with an additional moon display with a moody face, that'll do a perfect job. thanks and congrats.

I like the day window consisting of 4 letters instead of regular 3 like in your picture TUES.

And the condition of the watch is amazing
