case question

Dear members,

I have a weak spot for a specific case design from the seventies but I must admit that I don't know what the official name for this type of case is. It's good represented (for instance) by the IWC Yacht Club and I am sure that V&C also have these case designs in their collection.  Apart of course from my VC (see post below), I know of the elusive ref 6782 but do you recall any other refs ?

Thanking you in advance, best regards,

its a pretty funky case design! I have asked around and it seems that

basically its a restyled tonneau or tortue case and has no "official" name

Here are some VC references with ths case shape (there may be others but I need to research more thoroughly):

Ref 34015 (from 70s)

Ref 7403 (60s)

Ref 7397 (70s)

Ref 7595 (70s)

Wow !

Hello Alex,

Thank you very much for your elaborate reply (as well as your time investment) ! Those are stunning pieces. I think Victor K once owned a ref 7595, if I am not mistaken. Very nice.

Best regards,

Where do you get all those pictures?
