Lovely, thank you so much for these goodies. I got a whole new look on my laptop now! :)

I've been lurking around for a few months and finally got around to register, so.. Hi, a pleasure to be here!

Hi 1907 and welcome, glad you joined :-) What's the avatar? (nt)

It's called...
12/05/2007 - 17:24

a Skåneland Griffin. It's basically a symbol for Scania, the southernmost region in Sweden. It's been used since the Vikings and early middleages as it was first discovered on a runic monument found in "Tullestad".

It has alot in common with the fabled creature called "Panther" in heraldic terminology. Nowadays there are a handful of variations, but the Scanian griffin is unique.

Nowadays it is regarded as a symbol for culturally and historically aware Scanians.

Below is an old version of it.

very interesting thanks. Doc is going to feel less alone as the only

So for how long have you been a fan of VC?

Thanks Veillotron

I'm only 24 years old and have had an interest in watches since I turned 18. The first time I got my eyes on a V&C was during a trip to Milan in 2003. I wasn't very familiar with the brand back then but absolutely loved the ones I saw at an AD. I got my first, and so far only, V&C back in 2005 during a vacation in Hong Kong, an Overseas Chronograph with white dial. Hopefully I will be able to expand my collection with a few more V&C's soon!

Here's a picture of my Overseas. it's not the best photo, I know.

You've walked a dangerous path my friend! Once you

learn a lot from the moderator and the learned loungers here like i do. the downside is  u probably have a little less sleeping time. :)

well... one VC is never enough, but it is too

Just owning one VC is a privilege. So having several becomes an obsession (ask doc and others).

Even with just one you are part of the club!! Enjoy and may the auctions be good to you!

It's a beautiful piece!

It is one of my favorite sports watch, and not just because it's VC!

I really like everything on the dial: the finish, the hour markers, the size and positioning of the sub-dials...

More than once I almost bought one... It's a great way to start of VC collection!
