Chronometre Royal

Dear Loungers,

I was wondering if any of you have a previous generation Chronometre Royal.  There has never been a discussion over it, or any write-up about it.  To me, the white gold CR is the perfect ‘stealth watch’, so discreet with that shape and (for me) perfect size.  Another thing that I like about it is that it could pass both as a dress watch and as an everyday watch (IMO) that you could wear with casual clothes – perfect.  That is why I have been wondering for some time that nobody ever mentions it/is looking to buy it, etc.  I would really appreciate someone to share first hand impressions about, wrist shots, etc.

you mean this ref 47022?

when I began to get some interests on watches, but didn't had the budget at that time. Time passed but, I sometimes still dream of it, one day, why not... François
Movement details

This watch has the JLC-sourced calibre 1126/1 movement with 36 jewels.  It first appeared in the mid-1990's and continues to see service in the Gen II Overseas.  The /1 designation signifies an uprated frequency from 21,600 vph to 28,800 vph for CR duty, as well as being chronometer-rated.  You can read an outstanding review of the movement in this 2006 article by Jack Forster.
Thanks for this,

I read the article but at that time did not know it was the same movement as in the CR.
