A clock in Austria? Switzerland? No, Banff, Alberta Canada.

This brought a question to mind. Has V&C ever been commissioned to do large clocks and if so, do we have any pictures to share? The mosquitoes were hungry but the weather was beautiful.

As mentioned in a previous post, I hope to see this clock in Banff in person next summer.

Which one is the hour and which one the minute hand?

The actual time I took the picture was 11:19am in Banff

Alberta, Canada. They are on Mountain time. I asked a few merchants that can see the clock everyday and they said the sun hand was the actual "sun time" and the moon hand was when the moon would rise that evening. Since it is light up there until almost 11pm I did not notice the moon rise that evening and the sun hand shows before 10am, so I not sure of any of the information I received. The actual time was correct with the black hands.

The main question was whether or not V&C has made large clocks and does anyone have information on them or pictures.

Thanks Alex and Loungers. I just thought with all this history

there must be a older "classic" V&C clock somewhere, tucked away in a mountain town. Just a fantasy evidently.
