Constantine Ray -Geneve ?

I have trawled the internet and can find no mentin of Constantine Ray. Is there a connection between Vacheron Constantine and Constantine ray? If so, when did Vacheron & Constantine merge? When did Ray go? The reason I ask is that my late father, who was a master watchmaker trained in Hamburg just after the war, used a Constantine Ray ladies wrist watch and had it mounted on a gold band so creating a 'Ring-watch' which my mother occasionally wore for many years. I would like to find out why he chose this particular watch to create such a unique piece of jewellery.

Does anyone have any information for me?

Hi Alex, thanks for the reply. The E was my error, perhaps english spelling habits. It does seem rather strange that there was another watch maker ine Geneva with the name of Constantin. Is this is common name in Switzerland? The movement has a serial number 21600 - the case was asseyed in London with the date stamp for 1961.
Still not a VC but it is possible that another watchmaker had the
