Could you help me please!!!

Hi to all here.
Would anyone here be able to tell me more about the Vacheron & Constantin watch that a lady brought to me to research for her, she did not leave it to me, so as yet I do not have any photos, but I will take some when she returns to me.

It is a ladies 18ct Fob Watch, the dial is surrounded by seed pearls and the caseback has blue enamelling. The watchface is marked J. E Caldwell, Philadelphia, the dustcover is marked Vacheron & Constantin.  The case has a serial number 173872 and the watch serial number is 288279.

Please advise me on how to date and if possible value the watch.

Thanks in advance.

John

At last I can add some photos of the watch, they are not great but acceptable when magnified, if this can be done here, as I said before It is a ladies 18ct Fob Watch, the dial is surrounded by seed pearls and the caseback has blue enamelling. The watchface is marked J. E Caldwell, Philadelphia, the dustcover is marked Vacheron & Constantin. The case has a serial number 173872 and the watch serial number is 288279. I might also add that the watch is running, though I have not checked the timekeeping. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thaks John

made for VC's retailer (don't remember if they were in Boston or Philedelphia). That's why the movement and case are signed Vc but not the dial which has the retailer's name.
