A couple of classics

Greetings Hour Loungers.  My first real post -- not quite a review, just a comment or two.

My new VC Patrimony and my trusty old HP15C -- a nice pair, I think. This is my first manual-wind watch, and I couldn't be happier with it. The 38mm case is a perfect fit -- the photo actually makes it look bigger on the wrist than it appears in reality. My feeling is that ~38mm will be the eventual equilibrium point for watches like this, following a decline from the current trend of larger cases... but who knows?

The accuracy is unbelievable. So far, I am seeing about +1 sec/day, averaged over several different overnight storage positions. Maybe a Chronometre Royale can wait ...

Maybe my age is showing, but I guess I have more vintage things, :-)

Hi Pay, First of all - Great Watch!  I find that New Jersey has many VC fans!  (My home is in Central Jersey though I live and work in  Beijing now). Second, besides a love of vintage VCs, I am still using my trusty/now vintage HP 11C - one I that got in 1985, my junior year of engineering school.  Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering - specializing in Computational Fluid Dynamics (I noticed the viscosity ratio chart you put in your picture, ).  The "11C" nameplate has fallen off over the years, but besides a few battery changes, it still works wondefully - I can never go back to a non-RPN calculator! The OS Chronograph is obviously what I'm wearing today, if my CR wristwatch wasn't at the VC Spa right now - I would have taken that picture instead.  All I have now is this old wrist shot. Welcome to the Lounge and Best Regards, Dan
