Deep Stream in the Wild

My apologies to Alex for not contributing to his Monday thread but I was waiting for something interesting to occur last night.  My town hosted its first professional cycling race; the prologue to the inaugural week-long Tour of Alberta.  The race is IRC-sanctioned and many of the top Tour de France teams showed up for was was essentially a 7.3 km time trial to position the riders for the first stage the following day.  For a tired old cyclist like myself, it was a dream come true cool.

This green blur is Peter Sagan, the eventual winner who put 13 seconds over his next rival.  I had a choice of what to focus on...well, he went by at over 50 kph so I didn't get a second shot blush

Barely got Cadel Evans as he blasted past...

Our Canadian star Ryder Hesjedal closed the circus.  He placed well for the week ahead.

I'll post a few more random shots later, as I appear to have some difficulties uploading right now.  Cheers,

Great shot of the Deep Stream, Dean

Bike races are much harder to photograph than watches, no?  I will look forward to seeing more pics when you post them. Best, Robert
