Dual Time Malta Regulator

Hi everyone,

I hope you all had a terrific weekend and that everyone's well.  I have a few of questions I'm hoping the forum can help me with:

Firstly, I've become quite interested in the Dual Time Malta Regulator and I'd like to know more about the years it was produced.  I know it was introduced in 2002 but when did Vacheron stop production.  In addition, is there any information on how many pieces were created?

My second question concerns Vacheron catalogs.  If I wanted to look at collections by specific years is there an online resource for this?

Finally, I'm also extremely interested in the 1972 Prestige, but an original model from that time period.  I've seen several examples though the auction archives and I'm most partial to the Roman numeral versions with either a black, sliver or gold face.  To further both previous questions, is there a catalog or reference that will tell me the models that were available for that piece, and what years it was produced?

Whatever ya'll can tell me is most appreciated, thanks very much.  I'm looking quite forward to hearing from you.  Take good care, speak soon.

Good questions (and good taste :-) ), re the Malte Dual

Time (the name is Malte without the A) it was discontinued in 2008 but it is possible that some models were still available at ADs - there is no information on production numbers. Unfortunately there is no online catalogue or source for production of past pieces Sorry but i haven't been of much help indecision

Hi Alex, thanks very much for getting back to me so fast I appreciate that.  Good to know about the name, I could have sworn I saw it written as Malta;  the information on the production run from '02 - '08 is also great. Concerning the calibur of the movement, is the Dual Time Regulator as accurate as the Chronometre name would imply?   And finally, do you have any information on the '72 Prestige?  Again, whatever you can tell me is terrific.  Have a wonderful evening. Chris

Here is a link to some info on the original Prestige de la France. They pop up for sale every once and a while. Regards, Josephhttp://watchgeek.blog.com/?p=940
