Here is my little story of Vacheron Constantin in Strasbourg.
5 years ago, we only had in our beautiful city Rolex, JlC, Cartier, IWC, Omega retaillers.
We had to go in Paris or Germany to see some other brands.
It's what I had done in Paris, place Vendôme specially.
I fell completely in love with ... of course the Malte chrono perpetual calendar. My heart stopped beating.
the concept of dream watch began !
Quickly, i tried to find a Lemania movement. I finally called directly VC in Paris. They put me throught direct line
of Mr Jean-Yves DiMartino. It was 8:30am, first coffee/cigarette time. A very nice call. We spoke about VC of course, but about Breguet, and ended with the Datograph.
I remember that he was asking me why there was no big retailer in Strasbourg. I gave him my opinion, which was only my opinion.
2003 has been a great year for watches lovers in Strasbourg.
Edouard GENTON, opened a shop. He started with Breguet, BlancpaiN, B&R.
I visited him of course and spoke about photography.
Quickly, I told him that the day he would work with VC and have a Malte QP chrono, he had to call me
2 years after, in 2005, he started with Vacheron. YES.
in 2006, he called me, telling me he was organizing a Vacheron ehxibition, and will expose a QP chrono.
Here are the pictures.
This ehxibition has also been seen in Paris (and maybe other cities, other countries?)
This is how I had the chance to shoot 3 beautiful Vacheron Constatin.
