Just curious, it appears to be similar to the piece done for Cortina Watch last year.  Is the difference in the dial? Thanks again, Duncan
Yes, the Cortina model had a ruthenium dial and this one has a

platinum dial. Either one would look good on my wrist
Thannks Alex. Shall I pass you my Cortina contact? :-) (nt)

Choices, choices choices... Oh, what a wonderful "problem". :-) (nt)

Beautiful sand-blasted PT dial! PT stitching on the strap is a bit too
10/02/2008 - 14:31
much for my taste. Still, I believe I made the right choice with the Cortina LE model What's the list price, Alex?

Thanks Alex, The PT case, sand blasted dial and blue pointers make it quite dramatic looking, really stunnung. Joseph
Thanks Alex. I am sure it looks 100 times better in the metal

I love the aesthetics of the watch (even the regular version) except for two things: 1) Its too f&*#ing big for my wrist!!  (but just as well because...) 2) Its too f&*#ing expensive for the joke of a paycheck I get every month!  One thing I can say is that you have good taste, Alex.  I've gotten 3 watches that you own or have owned (Jubilee, Toledo, Contemporaine boutique), and I also have the Great Explorers and QdI on my wish list!  All I need now is to find a bank to rob that actually HAS money for the taking. Cheers! Kazumi

LOL agree Kazumi, the the derivatives wünderkids wanting to save you

from jail and avoiding any robbery decided to get rid of all the cash

Could we actually see a time when your money...
10/03/2008 - 03:57
is safer in watches as opposed to keeping it in banks?   Just kidding folks but the banking, credit and financial markets mess will have an impact on the watch industry. Hang on as it could be a rollercoaster ride... Cheers, Duncan
Neatly Beautiful! incl. the strap!!

Two questions: - the hands appeared in different colours, was it the light or there's a choice in the colour for the hands? - for the date, does the watch knows by itself which February has a futher 29th?
the time indicating hands are the same color and the date indicator is
10/03/2008 - 15:46
blue. Its a simple calender so the date will need to be maually set for months with less than 31 days.
I just read the article about VC's platinum pieces

Does VC still make something like Ref 4448 from 1951??? That's a classic for ladies, so simple but elegant! We can forget all about Reverso, 24c, Longine's copies, etc.!!!
unfortunately no, its a great looking watch (nt)

Nice watch, but again the PT950 marking on the dial is too much!
10/05/2008 - 21:33
Alex, could you put together for comparison the Cortina LE watch and this one? Thank you Cheers
