Extract From Archive Process

Can someone confirm the process or options on how to perform an extract from archive without going through a dealer or boutique? I was under the impression it was only offered through boutiques, but after reading about it on the VC site it seems it can be done directly without going through a boutiique or even a dealer.

The verbiage from the VC site says "via our exclusive boutiques or authorized retailers, or by sending the information directly to the Heritage department...."

It says the cost is CHF150 exclusing VAT and is payable in advance, but it doesn't say what VAT is, or how to pay in advance.

An exctract from archive direct from VC "how too" would be very usefull.

Sorry if this was answered already, but I searched and couldnt find anything for this.
If you do not wish to go via a retailer (which probably would

be easier) you can send the case and movement number to the VC boutique in Geneva with your details, they will then send you an invoice
