A few more shots from the Carmel dinner

Just to agree with Tim's assessment -- this was truly over the top, in a great way!  To have Chef Keller cooking for us was unreal -- and the venue and hospitality were fantastic.  I am still not quite sure whether the two 6-foot-tall beauties in black minidresses greeting us at the door represented the high point or the low point of the evening -- in the context of a "car guy weekend" it was definitely a highlight, but for a "Vacheron Brand Personality" touch it was perhaps a bit off.  All that I can propose is that VC repeats the experiment at future events so that I can continue the experiment and make up my mind :-).

Enough testosterone-induced blathering!  Here are a few more quick shots taken at the seated dinner -- first, the very tasteful quartet serenading us from the balcony:

David Archibald greets us on behalf of Rolls-Royce -- who also provided great hospitality on Sunday at the Pebble Beach Concours

...and Chef Keller describes the evening's meal.  I hope you are getting a bit of a sense of the absolutely glorious weather conditions and fantastic sunset light we enjoyed!

I had the great pleasure of being seated next to Ellen Sorensen, Marketing and Communications Director for Vacheron, and she was kind enough to lend me her watch -- by this time we were under the light of the outdoor heaters, so it will have to be B&W for this one:

Many, many thanks to everyone at Vacheron for extending this opportunity, and a special shout out to Daniel Adams, the CRM Assistant Manager at VC New York who expedited all arrangements and was a joy to deal with.  It was great to see Tim and other Loungers there, and all we were missing was a visit from Alex!

Looking forward to future events -- this one was a blast.

Best,

A good turnout of Loungers (which was great) and other "known" watch folks, which made the event even better -- but you would have topped off the occasion! Best, Gary

Well, this post pales in comparison to your narrative on "another site," but it seems that I get pulled into conversation at these events and forget to take photos! All the best, Gary
What a brilliant combo...
