A few OS DT YG scans

Well, Alex and Tom were kind enough to ask for some scans of my YG bracelet OS -- in this case the DT, white face.  I'm particularly fond of the calibre used in this watch, having owned a JLC Geographique with similar base movement since the early '90s -- and I think that this embodiment of the calibre into a watch with "substance" works extraordinarily well!

These are fairly highly compressed images, but I hope they give a good sense of the watch.  I do love wearing it!  And like Tom, before I saw this particular piece in the AD's window I never saw myself as a gold bracelet kind of guy.  Great work, VC!

That's the exact one that got me hooked...once I had that on my wrist I couldn't believe that I thought I wanted an all gold watch.  The pics are awesome to boot!!...and thanks for your help. All the Best, Tom
Very nice shots!

Thanks for sharing, Gary. I think having brushed finishing on the majority (more prominent parts) of the bracelet surfaces really helps suppress any excessive "bling" factor in the all-gold OS (even in YG).  I can understand why you guys fell for it. Wear it in good health!! Cheers Kazumi (BTW, you forgot the mandatory wrist shot!)
Since you asked: obligatory wrist shots...

I'm generally not very pleased with my wrist shots, but as you were kind enough to ask here are a couple of attempts with the OS:

And with its "cousin" -- hadn't noticed before, but they seem to be keeping pretty similar time!  Hope it's OK to show a "Brand X" on the Hour Lounge... Thanks for asking -- hope you enjoy! Best, GaryG

Thanks.

Hi Gary, Thanks for the wrist shots.  I know they are quite hard to take on your own. At any rate, the watch looks great on your wrist (where it should be). The problem with most all-YG watches (especially the highly polished ones) is that it does not go too well with certain skin tones (probably stands out too much).  But I think the brushed finishing is the key. Hope to hear more from you on the Lounge. Cheers! Kazumi

Magnificent pictures!

I'm so used to seeing Overseas models in SS that its a wonderful change to see watches like yours or TommyVs, which add a bit of color to the equation.  Great watch and I hope it brings you many years of enjoyment. Best regards, Dino
Thanks, all. I agree that

...the brushing is what really turns this from a potential "bling" watch into a beautiful and distinguished piece.  VC have done a great job with this, and as Alex suggests it really shows up well on the gold versions.  The Maltese Cross bracelet is a real masterstroke, in my opinion -- when people have asked if I plan to put it on a strap, I have to say that the answer (at least so far) is always "no!"  As a very recent joiner, I'm enjoying the Hour Lounge quite a bit -- great to read the features and opinions from all of you. Thanks, GaryG
