A few shots to whet your appetite

Just received this today from a recent auction in Geneva.  It was the color scheme, guilloche dial and combination of polished and brushed sufaces on one of my favorite VC cases of all time that attracted me to this piece.  My photographic skills are nowhere near those of some other loungers, but wanted to put a couple shots up while I work on some better photos to show the beauty of this limited edition Royal Eagle Chronograph.

Congrats - if I were to ever buy a genuinely formal watch surprise that would be right up there near the top of the list. I haven't seen that colour combo before in a Royal Eagle chrono but it oozes class.
Thanks Brent. nt

I would never have jumped so far into VC were it not for The Hour Lounge, our warm and knowledgeable community of members, the helpful staff and management of VC, and of course your wonderful articles and on-line hospitality.
What a wonderful Vacheron Constantin collection you have.

Congratulations on a beautiful acquisition, a great a rare find. I believe the case is the same as the Malte tourbillon. But the black guilloché dial really make it a fantastic comination. Wear it in the best of health. Joseph
Thanks Joseph - Hope to see you soon! nt

And this is a great addition.  It has so many wonderful details that Vacheron does so well. One of these days, I could really use a tutorial from you on the auction process.  Enjoy your new Royal Eagle! Best regards, Robert
Thanks Robert

Appetite is whetted heart What a great word, "whetten" originally from the German word "wezzen", to sharpen, and my interest in this design as been sharpened by your great photos.  Really a gorgeous watch...I feel drawn to marvel at the variety of design elements, especially those deco-inspired slanted and oversize numerals,  Wear it in good health my friend!
Thanks Dean

Kind words and if we ever get the chance to meet in person you will be welcome to try on the eagle, but I am loving it too much to part with it for all the sauce in worcestershire ;-)

Stunning piece!

I am strongly considering a Royal Eagle.  Any particulars to look for in this time piece?
