the two tone white and yellow gold case was made by Verger Freres in Paris. To put the watch on and take of it needed to be unfolded!

wonder if it was easily operated and whether it held fast (meaning it didn't come undone in the most unexpected moments)blush

Do you know if more than the one was made?  Fascinating concept to make the case also the clasp, and I do recall that concept in other watches of more contemporary manufacture.  Its gr8 to inov8 wink.
Piaget made a watch which opened like this sometime in the late 90s
