Golf anyone?

My Overseas is not very happy if I wear it while I play golf.

Does anyone else have a problem with wearing their watches while playing golf or tennis?

Just wondering...

Never wear a mechanical watch when golfing

While there may be the rare exceptions, the amount of force/shock that is transmitted through your wrist to the watch during that moment of impact from the club to the ball is significant.  It will definitely affect a mechanical watch, and NOT in a good way.

Not the way I "hit" the ball!

Not really me, but could be!

ROTFLMAO :-)

Agree with Dan, the shock is way too violent (nt)

Good to know.

My golf game is shocking enough!

What happens?

Curious what you mean "not very happy"?

Well, what I mean by 'not very happy' is: it stopped working. I let it be for a while and it started again and seems to be fine now.

I have never worn a watch while playing golf; however, I just got back to the course yesterday after a 3 year hiatus due to some health issues and I just forgot to take it off.

My bad!

OK, not good!

So far, it seems to have recovered its equilibrium. I hope it continues to do so.

I won't do this again - ever...

So far, my Overseas doesn't seem to have suffered any lasting effects from my wearing it while playing golf.

Close call methinks...

I think I will get my watchmaker friend to have a look at it in any case.

I usually take mine off, even at the range.

I know that if you hit the ball perfectly , then very little force is transmitted to your wrist, but whn was the last time that happened? NEVER!!

I once hit the ball without even feeling it so I figured I'd missed it entirely but the ball flew straight down the fairway; it went 263 yards - as far as I could figure it.

This has never happened again. :-(

But we keep playing just to try to recreate that feeling of those perfect shots.

There's no problem at the 19th...

Leaving the Overseas at the Club House might be the answer? I've tried several swings at a large G & T with no effect at all cheeky wink...

These things need working on and there's no substitute for experience!

Cheers!
