Around 2000 I was looking for a Mercator, I walked into a retailer's shop in Paris and met the boutique manager and started talking watches in general and we really clicked. To a point where I used to spend my Saturdays in his shop talking watches and we became such close friends that he is now my younger son's godfather!
So with the Mercator I found a true friend :-)
and thanks for sharing it, Alex. That's just the perfect story I would take as example if I had to explain to a neophyte the meaning of this passion of ours.
