Got to see the SIHH 2011 novelties. Prepare for some

surprises. there will be:

- a watch with a function never seen in a VC before

- a watch with a feature which never existed the presented form

- a watch in a form we hadn't seen for a long time at VC

and that's not it but I'm keeping the surprises

What would you like to see VC introduce for 2011?

Got to see the SIHH 2011 novelties. Prepare for some

The moon phase looks pretty scary (death's-head?)
10/25/2010 - 15:10
maybe it is not a moon phase (at all)...
Sounds good. Now is definitely the time for VC to...
10/25/2010 - 15:40 a more daring side. Everyone knows VC for tradition and beautifully finished watches but I think a little bit of 'cool' is needed - a DLC matt black Overseas for example.
a black Overseas like this one?
10/25/2010 - 16:49
photoshop taken off the Lounge but don't know who did it To tell you the truth I don't think this will ever happen, maybe as a special order for a retailer but never as a regular production model. These black watches are part of a trend which VC will probably not follow as the brand still want's to remain "classical"
looks gooooood though, huh?! (nt)
10/25/2010 - 18:37
looks awsome :-)
10/25/2010 - 23:12
Yes - if Lange can do the Zeitwork, VC can also...
10/26/2010 - 00:07 something cutting edge without compromising its traditional image
for those who want a black Overseas
10/27/2010 - 12:29
There are specialised companies such as Black Out Concept and Concept X whose specialty is to coat cases. I've been tying with the idea...
Rwill you be the first one to black coat your OS, Alex? It takes an...
10/27/2010 - 18:24
innovator and a leader for the crowd to follow... You know what the problem, I think, is? The besr dial to go with black coating is on the titanium model and it doesn't really make sense to apply PDV on this specific version, does it? A solution would be for VC to release a full_blown titanium Overseas... :-0 BTW, have you done the deed on the Pisa Overseas?
need to sell the US Overseas before jumping for
10/27/2010 - 20:52
The Pisa model. Agree with you that the best would be a black version with the grey dial but I find that version perfect as it is... Decisions, decisions...
AH, Alex...the master tease is back! :-)
10/25/2010 - 16:14
I look forward to seeing these novelties in January,  and based on your little tibits, NOVELTIES they will be .  They sound like they will make a good contrast to the Historiques 1955 and 1968, while complimenting the QDI. If so, in should increase VCs range and attract a wider group of WIS, BR, Dan
Octogon shape ??
10/25/2010 - 17:21
Looks like Overseas' bezel in titanium
10/25/2010 - 17:39
Alarm? Haha interesting, Alex.
diver's Overseas?! Or too cool for V&C?! (nt)
10/25/2010 - 18:46
They could call it the Underseas. :) nt
10/26/2010 - 12:49
Guys what would YOU like to see VC launch this year?
10/25/2010 - 23:13
extension of the QdI range for me please...
10/25/2010 - 23:38
as well as a Patrimony Chrono Excellence Platine or any other EP new model...
Exactly the same !
10/26/2010 - 20:56
That's what I would like of VC. Patrimony chrono excellence platine and a new Quai de l'île. -- "a watch with a function never seen in a VC before " What has never been done by VC A new kind of display? Alarm has already been done (once and very rare, but already done) Worldtime and GMT  too. Chrono, perpetual calendar, minute repeater, tourbillon, all of this is classical by VC. ... Stays  Carroussel? Split Second chronograph? Flyback? Yacht Timer ? (retro chrono) Grande Sonnerie? !!! But you said "a function"... not a complication?...???  My clue is compass or thermometer. -- a Watch in a form not seen since a long time, if the last excellence platine in pocket watch has not been revealed I would have thought of a normal pocket watch. -- My clue: I still believe it is a pocket watch but thicker like "onions" of the XVIII century with a completely mad display. For the function. Let 's say compass. (Sounds crazy, I think I am very far away from reality )
but Francois a function can be a complication, right? ;-)
10/27/2010 - 14:07
Re: but Francois a function can be a complication, right? ;-)
10/28/2010 - 19:16
I try my best to find what could be tricky in your description
good eye I had first written complication then replaced it by function
10/28/2010 - 19:25
a Patrimony Chrono excellence platine would be a killer
10/27/2010 - 14:03
A world timer. I think I've already dropped a few hints! (nt)
10/26/2010 - 03:41
since deciphering yr pic has been futile, i would wish for a watch ...
10/26/2010 - 06:01
uniquely VC like the mercator line, which may cost me a trip to tokyo. :)
there are thoughts on this but not yet :-)
10/27/2010 - 14:04
Re: Guys what would YOU like to see VC launch this year?
10/26/2010 - 12:54
I would love to see a contemporary annual calendar in a case with teardrop lugs, ~38mm! Also I would love to see the next expansion of Qdl line. I guess it won't be a chronograph since I don't believe the movement is ready for launch just yet.
Overseas with in-house calibre and sapphire caseback...
10/26/2010 - 18:36
I have wanted to see one like this for sometime Alex. Although I am not going to hold my breath.  Best, Mike
Mike I know you have been dreaming of
10/27/2010 - 12:32
This for a long time and trust me it will happen in the coming near future...don't know about the saphire caseback though
A simple Minute Repeater...
10/27/2010 - 05:46
using the newly designed mechanism that VC came out with last year to eliminate the extraneous sounds of the mechanism as it prepares to strike. This would be such classic looking beauty, but with the technical innovation INSIDE and known only to the wearer and WIS cognescenti! BR, Dan
