Happy Halloween yourself. The whole Halloween thing seems to have made a big comeback in Australia - it was popular when I was a kid but died gradually over a 10-15 year period but in recent years , perhaps because retailers are desperate for something to promote pre-Christmas, it seems to have made a big comeback. I took my 4yo boy out last night for his first Halloween and he had a great time doing the rounds of friends and family in his costume. My first Halloween as a trainee Vachernoista too

It turns out that my little purchase was a disaster. Without going into great detail the seller (auction) turned out to be a real nutter and , amongst other things, started changing payment terms/pickup terms (including not accepting Paypal which was clearly specified as accepted and which I wouldn't have bid without) in order to frustrate me out of proceeding as they were not happy with the auction price. It worked. Shame -as I played it well and picked up a great deal , or so I thought. . It was a watch intended to round out my otherwise sporty intentions with something a bit more arty and with some older-style complications. I probably wouldn't have bought unless I got a great price , so now I can return to focus on my real 2nd target...........more soon I'm 100% sure the watch was legit and it was really a case of not being worth pursuing , even though I was 100% in the right. I possibly could've completed the transaction with great difficulty but trust was lost and that's that. Not worth the risk when 5 figures is involved. If I wasn't so busy I'd spend the money on legals to make them squirm a bit (I'm still fuming from our correspondence) but that would be cutting off my nose to spite my face as they say.......... And I did have this little package arrive today to help cool me down a bit
Give them a bad feedback, I hate it when this happens :-( at least

We went to a Halloween concert last night. A screening of the 1920s silent film The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari was accompanied on the concert organ by the very colorful Cameron Carpenter. A great time was had by all . Our costume themes were (left to right) Rush Hour, Everest One-way, Butterflies are Free, Donna Summer, and "Sandy". I may regret posting this...
À zombie mountain climber?! :-)

still better than this guy: George Mallory's body was found 75 years after his unsuccesful attempt on Everest. I was saddened to read this article recently: I Climbed Everest and Found my Friends Body. I climbed with Rod Hogg in South America years back.
