have you ever seen an observatory VC tourbillon movement?

Here is something extremely rare: a Vacheron Constantin tourbillon movement with Guillaume balance) which entered the 1965 Geneva Observatory Trial scoring a total of 39.76 points out of a maximum of 60. The movement was subsequently recased as a pocket watch.

These photos were sent to me a few years ago (and shamefully I don't remember who but courtesy of their proprietor)

Is it in Vacherons museum or is this in someones private collection? Thanks for sharing it with us.

Alex,

Is the pocket watch case the only case this movement has been placed into? Or was it in a previous case? The craftsmanship and beauty of this movement lifts the top off of my head! It is second to none. Thanks for the photos.

Regards,

Mike

I believe that this is the first case the movement has been placed in
