Help in ID Vacheron watch? Value?

My father passed away a few months ago.  While going through his personal items I found a Vacheron watch, I don't remember much about the watch but it seems to me he bought it a number of years ago (15-20 years).  Can anyone tell me about the model or other info?  Value?  The watch back has the numbers 653555 or 553555.  The watch has no minute hand/ no date and the face is very light gold with a basket weave pattern.  Leather strap.  ????????  Thanks.  I have contacted Vacheron but have not yet heard anything from them.

Thanks,

Steve

A bit hard to see, but looks a good bit like the 31150.  The vintage would be roughly right.  A better photo may help - and you would be well served to have a watchmaker open up the back and look in there for identifying marks.

Does it like like THIS:

that I did not mean the one link to be a statement of the watches value.  Simply as a research starting point.  I no nothing of the watches value.  I would just google a bit.

Good luck.

jtodd is correct.

Once you have the reference number, you can do a general search and check the auction results, Christies, Sothebys and Antiquorum and see what the watch has sold for.
