Help with identification?

I have been reading around this forum and can't find anything like this watch. We found it in my dad's house after he passed away.

I do not know anything about fine watches. This was the first time I have even heard of Vacheron Constantin. The watch has the "Overseas" sailboat on the back and an alligator (?) strap. I believe it to be stainless. It has Roman numerals. It also has "quartz" stamped on the front, so I know it is not as good as it can be. I think it is from the early 1980's. The entire watch is very plain.

Please excuse my photos, I know the quality of them are terrible. The second photo is looked at through a magnifyer so you can see some texture on the face. Thanks in advance for any information about this watch.

This watch is nothing like an Overseas

The Overseas collection is a luxury sportswatch line, up until very recently only metal bands (no straps).  The bezel on all Overseas watches is unique and very identifiable. Your watch cannot be authentic if it says Overseas on the back.

No wonder all my searching came up with nothing. Thanks. At least I know what a skeletonized VC is now! Here is a pic of the back, maybe to aid in identification of other fakes. It also has a tiny Vacheron Constantin stamped into the edge of the clasp. Thanks again.
Nothing but a fake! Lose it in the dumpster... (nt)
