Help with my (potential) first VC

Hi, for a while I've been searching for a vintage steel Vacheron. I finally found one, but it's daunting (to say the least) to be sure if you're poring your money on a real or a fake. In this particular case I've looked around the web, and specially this forum, for something that gives me more reasurance on whether this is the one or not, but so far I haven't found anything like it.

Here is what I know:

Case #: 292850
Movement: 17J (similar to this one: http://www.thehourlounge.com/index.php?module=Thread&action=view&threadid=48982&id=48982 except the cotes de geneve are not as sharp)
Movement #: 452855
So according to the numbers the watch should be mid 1940s
I've never seen anything like this dial, and definitely don't have the knowledge to tell whether the movement is original or not.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

The movement is scratched up and missing screws but looks

genuine as does the case. The dial looks fishy though....
